I am the Co-Founder and Director of HIREIQ and have worked within the Accounting & Finance recruitment industry for over 10 years, with experience spanning a range of sectors, markets and service lines.
My role within HIREIQ is focused on driving business performance, identifying new market opportunities and helping to shape the long-term growth of the business.
The most enjoyable part of owning HIREIQ is developing our people and seeing them grow and evolve alongside the business. Of course, hitting revenue targets and achieving our commercial goals is rewarding, but I believe the real catalyst behind that success is developing each member of the team and giving them the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Originally from Essex, I moved to Ireland 12 years ago and have never looked back. I am now happily married with two young children who, unsurprisingly, are already showing early signs of becoming aspiring recruitment entrepreneurs.
I am a strong believer that anything worth achieving is rarely easy, and that consistent hard work, resilience and the right attitude will always create opportunities for success.

Associate Director
I specialise in Qualified Finance recruitment across Northern Ireland, working with professionals from Newly Qualified Accountant right through to CFO level. What I enjoy most about recruitment is getting to know candidates, talking through their options and helping them figure out the best next step in their career, with plenty of craic along the way!
Outside of work, I’m an avid Manchester United fan and enjoy watching pretty much any sport. I also love getting out for a hike in the Mournes and, when I get the chance, clay pigeon shooting. In the HireIQ office, I’m known for always having a great selection of fruit and snacks on hand, so there’s usually something nearby if anyone gets hungry!

Shannon Weir
Marketing Manager
I manage the marketing function at HireIQ across all our locations, working across brand, content, lead generation and commercial growth. One of my favourite things about marketing is that it never stands still, there’s always something new to learn, test or improve, so no two days are ever quite the same. There’s also something pretty cool about having the creative freedom to shape and build a brand and see those ideas come to life.
In the HireIQ office, I’m probably best known for being slightly antisocial and sitting with my headphones on for a lot of the day, but in my defence, the office can get pretty loud when you’re trying to create content! Plus, nothing beats a good early 2000s playlist.
Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my best friend Maisie, my chocolate Labrador, who also happens to be a regular visitor to the HireIQ office (and our socials, keep an eye out for the dog content!).
I’m also an avid gym-goer and, when I’m not training, there’s a good chance you’ll find me winding down with the latest fantasy book and a cup of tea, although at the weekend, I’m partial to swapping the tea for an Espresso Martini here and there!

I specialise in Qualified Finance recruitment across Northern Ireland. What I enjoy most about recruitment is getting to know exactly what a client is looking for and then going out to find the right person. When a candidate starts a new role and genuinely loves it, it’s great to know I played a part in making that happen. For me, seeing a candidate settle into a role while knowing the client has found exactly what they were looking for is what makes recruitment so worthwhile.
Outside of work, spending time with my wife and two kids is by far the most important thing to me. I’m also a big sports fan, particularly football, and I’ve followed Liverpool for as long as I can remember. I enjoy F1 and MotoGP too, and I’m really into running and fitness, so most weekends involve some combination of family time, sport and getting out for a run.
I’m also the #1 ping pong player in the HireIQ office! Some might disagree, but deep down, they all know it’s true!

Office & Talent Manager
I manage the office, the operations and finance function for HireIQ, across NI, ROI, UK and New York! I also look after the internal recruitment for the company, and that's probably the most rewarding part of my job. Hiring people who turn out to be key players and have real success stories, gives me so much pride!
Outside of the office, I'm a keen foodie with a decent following on my food Instagram account - so if you see me filming content in your local supermarket, restaurant or uploading silly food related videos - this is just a regular day!
I'm also a huge fan of rock music, so you will usually find me at a record store to add to my vinyl collection, or at a gig to see my bucket list bands!

I specialise in recruiting tax professionals across the South of Ireland, working with industry, practice and law firms on roles at all levels, from newly qualified professionals through to Partner appointments.
I love the buzz and environment of recruitment - I get to speak to people all day, find out about them and understand what they’re looking for. For me, it’s never just about filling a role; I genuinely enjoy exploring different options with people, finding the best fit and seeing where their next move could take them. Finally, I feel like I’m being rewarded for being chatty!
A little-known fact about me…
I competed in several World Irish Dance Championships around the globe before becoming a professional dancer at Disneyland Paris, so naturally, if I had to pick a favourite Disney movie, it has to be Tarzan!
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me watching a true crime documentary or listening to Post Malone, and I’m never too far away from a Cream Soda Pepsi Max.
