An established audit, tax and advisory firm is appointing an experienced Audit Director to support the continued growth of its Dublin practice. This is an opportunity to combine senior client leadership with a meaningful role in business development, practice strategy and team development.

The Role

  • Lead a substantial audit portfolio, building strategic relationships with senior client stakeholders.

  • Direct and review complex audits, ensuring compliance with professional standards, regulatory requirements and audit methodology.

  • Take ownership of portfolio performance, including pricing, profitability, budgets, recoverability, billing and cash collection.

  • Oversee engagement scope, quality, risk and resourcing, resolving issues and escalating significant matters promptly.

  • Lead proposals, tenders and business development activity, collaborating across service lines and the international network within independence and ethical requirements.

  • Coach Managers and Senior Managers, supporting performance management, career development and succession planning.

  • Champion digital tools and innovation to improve audit quality, delivery and efficiency.

  • Contribute to practice strategy and growth, strengthening the firm’s market profile through industry engagement and thought leadership.

Your Experience

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, with significant external audit experience at Senior Manager or Director level.

  • Proven experience leading complex audits and managing a substantial client portfolio.

  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting requirements.

  • Commercial acumen, with a track record of winning work and developing senior client relationships.

  • Experience coaching Managers and Senior Managers, building effective teams and developing future leaders.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills, with the judgement to contribute to practice strategy and growth.
