About the company

A long standing, successful and fast-growing SME business in the Ballymena area are seeking a Financial Controller to join them, at a key time on their growth journey. This role has been newly created due to continued business expansion, and will involve working closely with the Managing Director and wider SMT to drive strategic growth and decision making, whilst overseeing the day-to-day finance function and managing a small team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of monthly management packs, reporting at board level
• Working closely with the MD on growth planning and strategic decision making
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Managing and developing a small finance team
• Tax compliance
• Liaising and managing relationships with relevant external stakeholders
• Implementation and development of key systems and processes to allow the business to scale
• Other ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or Qualified by Experience in a similar role
• Excellent IT skills 
• Strong communication skills
• Commercial awareness 
• Leadership skills
