About the company

A highly successful SME business near Derry City are seeking a Company Accountant to oversee their finance function, working closely with the Managing Director. This is a varied role working as part of a small tight knit team, and would be well suited to a versatile Qualified, Part-Qualified or QBE accountant who enjoys getting involved in all areas of the finance function. The successful candidate will report to the board on a monthly basis, whilst also overseeing cashflow, payroll, VAT and transactional finance. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Full oversight of day-to-day finance function - payroll, VAT, cashflow
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Liaise with relevant external stakeholders
• Driving continuous improvement of processes and systems across the business
• Other ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant or part-qualified/QBE with experience in a similar role
• Excellent IT skills 
• Commercial awareness
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
