About the company

An established Belfast-based business is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of its finance function. Working as part of the senior management team and reporting directly to the Directors, you will manage a small finance team while taking responsibility for both day-to-day financial operations and senior-level reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, commercially minded Finance Manager seeking a senior role with genuine flexibility around working hours.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and developing a small finance team
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and annual financial reports
• Cashflow management and forecasting
• Oversight of weekly and monthly payroll
• VAT, PAYE, pensions and statutory payments
• Managing the year-end accounting process
• Oversight of credit control
• Maintaining robust internal financial controls
• Driving continuous improvement of finance processes
• Providing commercial financial insight to senior management

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
• Strong management accounts experience
• Previous experience managing or supervising staff
• Experience across payroll, VAT and financial controls
• Strong Excel and accounting systems experience
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
