About the company

HIREIQ are exclusively working with a successful and growing business in the Antrim area to recruit a Newly Qualified Management Accountant.

This is a newly created position due to continued growth and represents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Newly Qualified Accountant looking to take the next step in their career.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will gain broad exposure across the finance function, including management accounts, financial analysis, reporting and process improvement. You will work closely with the wider business and have the opportunity to develop your commercial finance experience as the company continues to grow.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Journals, accruals and prepayments
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Variance analysis and investigation
• Cash flow and financial reporting
• Cost analysis and identifying opportunities for improved efficiencies
• VAT returns
• Supporting month-end processes
• Supporting audit preparation and compliance
• Driving continuous improvement across financial processes and controls
• Supporting the Financial Controller with various projects and ad-hoc duties

Requirements:

• Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong management accounting experience
• Experience with month-end and balance sheet reconciliations
• Strong Excel and systems skills
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Ambitious with a desire to develop within a growing business
