HireIQ is recruiting an Audit Assistant Manager for an accountancy and advisory firm in Cork. This role would suit an experienced Audit Senior ready to step up or an Assistant Manager looking for a move within practice.

The Role

• Help manage a portfolio of statutory audits, coordinating fieldwork, deadlines and file completion.

• Allocate work to junior team members, review their files and give feedback throughout each engagement.

• Liaise with clients to gather information, resolve queries and keep the audit on schedule.

• Identify accounting and audit issues, work through solutions with senior colleagues and escalate significant matters ahead of sign-off.

• Review financial statements and ensure audit files are clearly documented and meet Irish statutory and professional requirements.

Your Experience

• ACA or ACCA qualified, with at least two years’ post-qualification experience in a mid-sized practice.

• Experience leading external audits, reviewing files and supervising junior team members.

• Strong working knowledge of Irish audit and financial reporting requirements.

• Comfortable managing several deadlines and communicating clearly with clients and colleagues.

The Rewards

• €55,000–€65,000 depending on experience.
