HireIQ is recruiting an Audit Manager for an accountancy and advisory firm in Carlow. The role would suit an Audit Manager looking for a move within practice or an experienced Audit Assistant Manager ready to take responsibility for a client portfolio.

The Role

• Manage statutory audit engagements from planning and risk assessment through to completion.

• Set engagement budgets and timelines, allocate work and monitor progress across your portfolio.

• Review audit files and financial statements, resolving technical queries ahead of Partner sign-off.

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, discussing audit findings and agreeing follow-up actions.

• Coach Audit Seniors and trainees through file reviews and practical feedback.

Your Experience

• ACA or ACCA qualified, with external audit experience in Irish practice.

• Experience leading statutory audits, reviewing files and managing client relationships.

• Strong working knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting requirements.

• Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and supervising audit teams.

• A driving licence would be an advantage.

The Rewards

• €60,000–€65,000 depending on experience.

• Hybrid working, with one day per week from home as standard and additional flexibility considered for longer commutes to the Carlow office.

• Ownership of an audit portfolio, with direct client contact and close Partner involvement.
