HireIQ is partnering with a long-standing client, an established business, to appoint a Management Accountant. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this is a broad role offering the opportunity to build on your existing experience while gaining greater commercial exposure across the business.

It’s an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified accountant looking to take the next step in their career, with scope to develop professionally, take on increased responsibility and progress over time.

 

About the job: 

• Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
• Analyse financial performance against budget, identifying and explaining key variances.
• Produce regular management reports and KPI analysis to support business decision making.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Oversee relevant financial compliance and statutory reporting requirements.
• Provide support across the wider finance function when required.
• Contribute to the development of financial systems, reporting processes and management information.

 

About you: 

• Well suited to a Recently Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or strong QBE
• Industry experience advantageous 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong IT skills -  Excel important
