About the company
We are working with a large international professional services business in Belfast to recruit a Management Accountant to join their established finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified Accountant looking for something a little different from a traditional Management Accountant position. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business and gain exposure to partnership accounting, management reporting, financial controls and wider international finance operations.
The role sits within a large finance function and offers excellent exposure across both the UK and international operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing partner profit distributions, drawings and related reconciliations
Maintaining partner capital accounts, loans and repayments
Supporting monthly management accounts and financial reporting
Preparing quarterly VAT returns
Supporting statutory accounts and the annual audit process
Managing balance sheet and control account reconciliations
Liaising with senior stakeholders regarding financial queries
Supporting process improvement and strengthening internal controls
Assisting with wider finance projects and reporting requirements
The position also involves working closely with finance colleagues across different jurisdictions and acting as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders.
Requirements:
Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMA
Management Accounting or Partnership Accounting experience
Strong Excel skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience improving finance processes and controls
Professional services or international experience would be advantageous
The successful candidate should be comfortable working autonomously, managing competing priorities and communicating with senior stakeholders across the business.
